About me…
Laura Pascu was born in 1997 in Vienna and moved to Zagreb, Croatia in 2007. She studied Animated Film and New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and has worked across various departments in film production, from music videos and animation to fiction and documentary films.
In 2023, she began her Master’s studies in Fiction Directing at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), focusing on intimate, character-driven storytelling. Her short film comedy One for All, created during her first year at ZHdK, is just beginning its festival journey. Her feature-length love drama Between Us, financed by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, is currently being shown at international festivals.
Alongside her directing work, she is also active as an editor and collaborates with Blank Film Incubator in Zagreb. There, she edited the feature-length comedy Zagreb Equinox, which was well received by audiences in Croatian cinemas. Her work often blurs the line between fiction and documentary, marked by emotional depth and a subtle visual language.
She is currently developing her diploma short film.
