My feature, Between Us, offers an intimate and modern portrayal of a relationship between two young people who, despite a deep connection, refuse to compromise in ways that would mean sacrificing their own desires and identities. Through their gradual distance, the film explores the idea that love, while powerful, may not always be enough to sustain a relationship. At its core are questions such as: What happens when partners begin to grow in different directions? And where is the line between healthy compromise and self-erasure?
